What Are Orthotics?

Orthotics are a custom made medical device that treat a range of foot and lower limb conditions for people of all ages. As it is a custom device, it is specifically designed for you. We can use a range of materials and covers to suit your exact needs. Orthotics prevent and relieve pain and support and align the feet and entire body. If you have had orthotics before and found them hard and uncomfortable, never fear - We use soft EVA orthotics that are of the highest quality, latest technology and can easily fit into your shoes. Our patients find them surprisingly comfortable and in fact hate the feeling when they don't wear them. It is important to get your children's feet assessed as pain and problems can be prevented if managed early on.

Orthotics are prescribed by your Podiatrist after a full Biomechanical assessment.

Our Brands

Orthema is recognised as a world leader in the orthotic industry and the next generation of foot orthotic fabrication. Our digital foot scanner precisely measures the foot within 0.1mm and allows the Podiatrist to view a 3D and 2D version of the patient’s foot in the correct foot posture. From there, custom corrections are added to the scan by the Podiatrist and sent away to the lab, where the orthotics are milled out by the Orthema milling machines and finished off by expert lab technicians, creating the perfect finished product.
